As the Principal of the school, it is my intention to harness the co- operative energy of our parents, students and all my colleagues involved in the ‘business’ of educating our young people to move this school from strength to strength.  By making the best use of our modern state of the art equipment and facilities and excellent pastoral care, we have created a safe, secure, caring and nurturing environment in which children are encouraged to develop the skills required to become well-rounded, confident and responsible adults in the future, unafraid to express themselves and to learn from their mistakes, inquisitive enough to research into the world around them, resilient enough to overcome obstacles and ambitious enough to view success as the inevitable and achievable crowning of their endeavours as students of Premiere Academy.

We are proud to offer a broad, balanced curriculum, which is enhanced by our established extracurricular and learning Outside of the Classroom (LOTC) provision.  We provide numerous opportunities for students to develop their learning muscles, enhancing their basic skills of communication and literacy as well as exploring particular strengths and interests across a broader range of cross-curricular areas. Our staff – both academic and non- academic demonstrate on a daily basis their commitment to supporting young people as they seek to engage with the demands of an ever changing world. Staff also display an unswerving belief in the ability of our students to strive to become the very best that they can be in the future.

Our teachers work together to improve their own practice and are continually exploring and developing imaginative ways to engage students. ‘The Pride of the Nation’, the Academy’s motto, means a great deal more than just creating a place that we can all be proud of.  It also means working closely with parents, carers and other stakeholders to support students to make positive choices in life and to make outstanding progress across the board. It also means encouraging students to work together to support one another. Our well- structured House and boarding systems allow us to develop this caring, supportive ethos while reinforcing the importance of respect for oneself and for each other which are key priorities in our behaviour for learning policies.

We provide an engaging curriculum, constantly develop our teaching workforce and create an atmosphere of mutual respect so that we are able to meet the individual needs of children.

Our commitment to you is simple: students entering and leaving Premiere Academy will become resilient, proactive, independent learners, able to face the challenges of the adult world and to lead where others follow. Indeed our ultimate desire is to place Premiere Academy firmly on the map as not merely ‘one of the best’ but the best private international school in Nigeria.
