On Saturday, 23 September 2017 we were treated to a stimulating seminar entitled, HANDLING CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS IN THE 21ST CENTURY: COLLABORATION BETWEEN PARENTS AND SCHOOLS. This lecture was presented by Professor Ojiah of the University of Abuja. It took us on a very insightful journey of discovery about the nature of 21st century children and adolescents, their needs and, the benefits of collaboration between the parents and the school to meet these needs.  Prof.Ojiah not only presented the issues in a most articulate and learned manner, but more importantly perhaps, she offered tangible strategies designed to aid active collaboration between parents and the school and outlined the skills required in handling children and adolescents. Solutions to some issues facing stakeholders and recommendations were also made. The lecture was brought to a finale by a lively question and answer session that provided further practical tools and helpful tips.
